HT Heartache – Sundowner (self-released)
Delivered to me as if a dream, I have yet to waken from the spell of HT Heartache‘s Sundowner. Released in May, I often question if it’s actually real or imagined as it lingers somewhere between the two realms.
Unable to say enough here about the album and its songs that couldn’t have been written or sung by any other voice, I am proud that Sundowner was deemed one of the Best Americana albums of 2014 by PopMatters. Perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime achievement, rest assured that as this year draws to a close my fascination with Sundowner will not end.
